室温10℃ほどで充分越冬可
35℃で日陰があれば野外飼育可
よい亀です。

First feeding (Cuora bourreti)
ラオスモエギハコガメの幼体が孵化後一週間ほど経過したので餌をあげてみました。
片方はよく食べますが、もう片方は食べません。
卵の殻を食べていた方が食べていないようです。
エサはキョーリンの亀のエサ中粒をふやかしたもの。

夢の亀
この日が来ることをどんなに待ち望んだことだろうか。
お金のために大自然から遠い異国に連れてこられてしまった美しい亀、
せめて生命を全うしてもらいたいと願い手元に置きました。
2013年から8年経ってようやく繁殖することができました。

エクアドルより蘭が到着。
初めて海外に発注してみた。
英語は全く使えなのでGoogle翻訳を多用した。
ecuageneraはそんな日本人にも対応してくれる。
オーダーは上記の通り。
初心者なので可愛いものだと思う。
物によっては死着(枯着と言うのか？)も多いとのこと。
パッキング等がよくないようだ。
埼玉在住の方が輸入通関検閲のお世話してくださって宅配までしてくださる。
有難いことです。
小さい物ならまた購入してみようかな…

Orchids〜窓際温室からこんにちは
2020世界蘭展あたりから窓際温室にお熱。
以前より栽培していたhybridのC.Love Castleは10年くらい放ったらかしで、
何も知らずに根をカットしたりbulb1つの株分けなどしてました。
主に原種蘭の自家交配→無菌播種などを、
なるべくコストをかけずにやってみたいと思っています。

Orchids by the window
昨年の今頃からはハマり始めた蘭ですが、
なかなか楽しくてどんどん増えてしまいました。
オークションは毎日欠かさずチェックしてますw
今まで窓の一面とカーテンレールを使って主にhanging styleにしていたのですが、
手狭になったのと、窓が汚い(掃除できない)のがイヤなので、
ワイヤーネットを使って蘭棚をこさえてみました。

1800mm×450mmのネット3枚をパイン材のボードに固定しました。
元の計画ではネットのみで箱型を組み上げて、
それを板に固定するつもりでしたが、
カーテンレールに引っかかってしまうので、
板に面したワイヤーネットは省きました。
それにより強度が落ちましたが、
おそらく転倒することはないだろうと思います。
何よりよいのはキャスターをつけて可動式にしたので日照を調節できること。
今まで1面のワイヤーネットを使っていたのが6面になり、
凡そ4倍の面積を使えるようになったこと。
あとはカーテンを使えるようになったので、
室内の保温が少しよくなることです。
残念な面は2Dから3Dになったことで威圧感が出て
部屋がかなり狭く感じられることです。
家人からクレームが入ると思います…
気に入った胡蝶蘭はおおかた蒐集したので、
あとはぼちぼち見切り品などを再生させたり、
株分けして販売したりしていきたいと思います。
