Orchids〜窓際温室からこんにちは

2020世界蘭展あたりから窓際温室にお熱。

以前より栽培していたhybridのC.Love Castleは10年くらい放ったらかしで、

何も知らずに根をカットしたりbulb1つの株分けなどしてました。

主に原種蘭の自家交配→無菌播種などを、

なるべくコストをかけずにやってみたいと思っています。

Orchids by the window

 昨年の今頃からはハマり始めた蘭ですが、

なかなか楽しくてどんどん増えてしまいました。

オークションは毎日欠かさずチェックしてますw


今まで窓の一面とカーテンレールを使って主にhanging styleにしていたのですが、

手狭になったのと、窓が汚い(掃除できない)のがイヤなので、

ワイヤーネットを使って蘭棚をこさえてみました。

1800mm×450mmのネット3枚をパイン材のボードに固定しました。

元の計画ではネットのみで箱型を組み上げて、

それを板に固定するつもりでしたが、

カーテンレールに引っかかってしまうので、

板に面したワイヤーネットは省きました。

それにより強度が落ちましたが、

おそらく転倒することはないだろうと思います。


何よりよいのはキャスターをつけて可動式にしたので日照を調節できること。


今まで1面のワイヤーネットを使っていたのが6面になり、

凡そ4倍の面積を使えるようになったこと。


あとはカーテンを使えるようになったので、

室内の保温が少しよくなることです。


残念な面は2Dから3Dになったことで威圧感が出て

部屋がかなり狭く感じられることです。


家人からクレームが入ると思います…


気に入った胡蝶蘭はおおかた蒐集したので、

あとはぼちぼち見切り品などを再生させたり、

株分けして販売したりしていきたいと思います。

西丹沢 犬越路→大室山から畦ヶ丸 200624

梅雨の合間に西丹沢に行きました。
Covid-19の影響で多くの山小屋が今期の営業を取り止めています。
登山者が山に入らないことは山にとってよいことなのかもしれませんね。
4時に西丹沢自然教室を出発
